Rev. Brian James has a deep dedication to the teaching and preaching of God's word. His philosophy of ministry centers on a sincere personal love for Jesus Christ. Brian holds to the conviction that all ministry should come out of the overflow of a growing personal walk with Jesus Christ. He is dedicated to discipleship that begins with biblical preaching and moves to modeling and teaching through personal relationships. Brian and his wife, Paula, were born right here in Habersham County, Georgia. They have four daughters: Morgan, Aubrey, Annabelle, and Aedyn.
Brian has dedicated his life to growing in both faith and knowledge. He obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.A.) from The University of Georgia and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Brenau University and began a career in Agribusiness before answering the call into ministry. After God redirected his life, Brian then obtained a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min) degree from Southwestern Theological Seminary. Prior to coming to Level Grove Baptist Church, Brian served as pastor of Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Athens, Georgia. He came to Level Grove in 2004 and served as Associate Pastor until being called as Senior Pastor in July of 2006.
